Why should you know about AI?

Unknowingly many of us browse or search internet for some information and enter the world of AI. I presumed it as an advanced tool for seeking information from the internet in a summarized manner. Many of the pages on internet still have outdated information or less than accurate content. I was not sure about the veracity of the output generated by these searches.

I kept myself away from it for quite sometime assuming that it may retard my thinking abilities. Recently I explored AI once again through another perspective. I gave a brief of myself and sought suggestions to make my future more interesting. AI gave me some good suggestions some known, some unknown and some beyond my expectation. It wanted me to pick up some of them or differ or expand my query. On further probing, it gave me a wonderful road map to plan my future beyond my service span. A time line was given to me after understanding my sparable time for building a sound future plan.

At the end, I closed my interaction stating that I would look into them and AI wished me all the best and further wished me to explore some of my hobbies till then on the roads of city I am living in. This was very surprising as I never shared information about the city where I settled after my retirement. How could AI knew about this? I do not expect the IP address location need not be my place of living. World is small and we agree to many Terms and Conditions without ever reading them. May be information flows from here about our whereabouts.

I felt like dealing with a friend or guide. I perceived it as a companion, if not an intelligent assistant. It is worth exploring. I did not deliberately name the AI agent used by me to prevent me sounding like promoting it.
